I enjoy doing Healing Touch on others. I've completed Healing Touch
Levels I, II, and III. Someday I would like to begin HT Level IV; I also perform Distant Healing. I am interested in learning Animal Reiki. Spending my time
with my grandchildren, my DH, long walks on the beach under a full moon, gazing at the stars, the rain in the summer (but dislike the humidity), love the
thunder and lightning, rainbows, gardening, dolphins, reading about astrology; automatic writing, counted cross stitch, tole painting, and bead work. I like to
collect Angels, crystals, dragonflies, and windchimes.
I am an Aquarius.
One thing life has taught me: If you're interested, you never have to look for new interests. They come
to you. When you are genuinely interested in one thing, it will always lead to something else. - Eleanor Roosevelt. And I love this: Life should NOT be a
journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well reserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine
in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming . . "Damn, What a ride!!!"

In this special moment in life . . .
Think freely. Practice patience. Smile often.
Savor special moments. Live God's message.
Make new friends. Rediscover old ones.
Tell those that you love that you do.
Feel deeply.
Forget trouble. Forgive an enemy.
Hope. Grow. Be crazy.
Count your blessings. Observe miracles.
Make them happen. Discard worry.
Give. Give in. Trust enough to take.
Pick some flowers. Share them.
Keep a promise. Look for rainbows.
Gaze at stars. See beauty everywhere.
Work hard. Be wise.
Try to understand.
Take time for yourself.
Laugh heartily. Spread joy.
Take a chance. Reach out. Let someone in.
Try something new. Slow down.
Be soft sometimes. Believe in yourself.
Trust others.
See a sun rise. Listen to rain.
Reminisce.
Cry when you need to. Trust life.
Have faith. Enjoy wonder.
Comfort a friend. Have good ideas.
Make mistakes. Learn from them.
Celebrate Life . . .

Light is a portion of the
electromagnetic spectrum surrounding us. The light frequencies are perceived and recognized as color through the eyes and brain. When white light
hits a prism it is seen as the seven rainbow colors. The human body has seven main chakras, or energy vortexes that
vibrate harmoniously with these seven color frequencies. If there are any energy blockages in the chakras, applying the correct light
frequency can be very beneficial in clearing and restoring the area to proper functioning frequency. Branches of alternative medicine and ancient cultures have
long recognized the power of color therapy to influence the body and the psyche.

The word Chakra means "wheel " based on the Sanskrit. There are 7 main
chakras that are lined up in ascending order from the base of the spine up to
the top of the head. Below you will find the mandalas that correspond with
each chakra.
What are chakras?
It is
believed that chakras are spinning energy centers that are invisible to our
vision. Many people however are able to see these chakras with their mind's
eye. It is important for these major energy centers to be in balance because
our mind, body and spirit depends on it.

Reiki is a Japanese form of healing that is becoming increasingly popular worldwide. What makes Reiki
unique is that it incorporates elements of just about every other alternative healing practices such as spiritual healing, auras, crystals, chakra balancing,
meditation, aromatherapy, naturopathy, and homeopathy.
Reiki involves the transfer of energy from practitioner to patient to enhance the body's natural ability to heal itself through the balancing of energy.
Reiki utilizes specific techniques for restoring and balancing the natural life force energy within the body. It is a holistic, natural, hands-on energy
healing system that touches on all levels: body, mind, and spirit.
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese word representing universal life energy, the energy which is all around us. It is derived from rei, meaning "free
passage" or "transcendental spirit" and ki, meaning "vital life force energy" or " universal life energy".
Reiki practitioners channel energy in a particular pattern to heal and harmonize. Unlike other healing
therapies based on the premise of a human energy field, Reiki seeks to restore order to the body whose vital energy has become unbalanced.
Reiki energy has several basic effects: it brings about deep relaxation, destroys energy blockages, detoxifies the system, provides new vitality in the form of
healing universal life energy, and increases the vibrational frequency of the body.
The laying of hands is used in Reiki therapy also as in spiritual healing. There is a difference though. In spiritual healing, a person with a strong energy
field places his or her hands above a particular part of the recipient's body in order to release energy into it. So, here the healer is the one who is
sending out the energy. In Reiki, however, the healer places the hands above the recipient; however, it is the recipient that draws the energy as needed. Thus,
in this case, the individual being healed takes an active part in the healing process as opposed to having a passive part in spiritual healing. The individual
takes responsibility for his or her healing. The recipient identifies the needs and cater to them by drawing energy as needed.
Although there are a few positions in which the practitioner is in contact with the patient (such as cradling the head), most Reiki treatments do not involve
actual touching. The practitioner holds his or her hands a few inches or farther away from the patient's body and manipulates the energy field from there.
Reiki is believed to have begun in Tibet several thousand years ago.
Seers in the Orient studied energies and developed a system of sounds and symbols for universal healing energies. Various healing systems, which crossed many
different cultures, emerged from this single root system. Unfortunately, the original source itself was forgotten.
Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese Christian educator in Kyoto, Japan, rediscovered the root system in the mid- to late 1800s. He began an extensive twenty-one-year
study of the healing phenomena of history's greatest spiritual leaders. He also studied ancient sutras (Buddhist teachings written in Sanskrit). He
discovered ancient sounds and symbols that are linked directly to the human body and nervous system which activate the universal life energy for healing.
Usui then underwent a metaphysical experience and became empowered to use these sounds and symbols to heal. He called this form of healing Reiki and taught it
throughout Japan until his death around 1893.
The tradition was passed through several grandmasters of reiki such as Dr. Chujiro Hyashi, Hawayo Takata, and Phyllis Lei Furumoto.
There are many forms of reiki being practiced now. The two principal ones are: "the Usui System of Natural Healing" and "the Radiance
Technique."
The Usui System of Natural Healing balances and strengthens the body's energy, promoting its ability to heal itself.
Reiki is useful in treating serious serious illnesses as well as others. Examples are: sports injuries, cuts, burns, internal diseases, emotional disorders,
and stress-related illnesses.
Reiki was introduced to the Western world in the mid-1970s. Since then its use has spread dramatically worldwide.

"The ocean was freedom. Standing at its edge and gazing far out into
the horizon, eastwards, she felt a deep, yearning ache that rose out of
some unknown kernel within her, that reached out, far far out, to that
distant horizon, to the unseen shores that lay beyond, and further,
to the endlessness of the sky, to the endlessness of time."
~Sharon Maas, Of Marriageable Age
"Stand Tall in Your Beliefs and Ye Shall Fly on the Wings of Dragons"
"Accept the gift. Don't be afraid to call yourself Witch"

You saw me standing alone.
Without a dream in my heart...
Without a love of my own."

Aquarius Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse:
Who
Do You Think You Are?
Everyone has Leo somewhere in his or her birth chart. It falls to Leo's opposite sign, Aquarius, to maintain the equality that is so vital to an organization, a country, or even a family. If one person consumes more than his or her share of resources, the whole group is endangered. Each year, the Aquarius Full Moon provides a two-week period for considering this inherent tension between "me" and "us." Which will win: individualist Leo, or collectivist Aquarius?....

Aquarius Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse:
Lunar Eclipses, Earthly
Instincts
by April Elliott Kent
At a lunar eclipse our ability to transmit and receive light - to channel and midwife divine inspiration - is trumped by the impulses of pure worldliness. Sometimes, it's the worldliness of physical disease or limitation that casts a long shadow; other times, the pain of Earthly need and loss. Usually, it's a pain you recognize. Eclipses have 18 year cycles, so an eclipse falls in the same sign and the same part of your chart every 18 years, and in the opposite spot every nine years. What happens on the outside, in your outer life, is a little different each time - but the thing that's touched inside of you is exactly the same. At the lunar eclipse, an antidote to these earthly difficulties seems to lie in the celebration of Earth's healing, stabilizing powers....

3-Minute Full Moon
Ritual
by Dana Gerhardt
Feel that you have become the goddess, capable of balancing the earth and harmonizing its opposing forces. In particular you are tuned to the energies of Leo and Aquarius, signs devoted to individual creativity and collective responsibility. They represent the forces of "me" and "we." When the radiance of me joins hands with the reality of we, our world recognizes its interdependence, how what happens to one of us touches all of us. Imagine what a future we'd create if everyone brought me and we into balance. Out of balance, Leo promotes the toxic worship of celebrity, Aquarius the dangerous rule of technology. When these shadow expressions run amok, we feel like our world is being run by children or mad scientists. Imagine this negativity circles the globe like a dark smoke. Know that if you breathe in this smoke you have the power to transform it in your heart and breathe it out as the pure white light of the goddess.....
